The 7th World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention commenced in Hangzhou on Nov 28. The event included an opening ceremony, forum, and six major activities.

Launched in 2011, this high-profile gathering of Zhejiang entrepreneurs highlighted the robust private economy in the region. This year, 32 Jiaxing enterprises were invited, showing Jiaxing's economic developments. Representatives from Zhejiang's top private enterprises, including Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co Ltd, and Satellite Chemical Co Ltd, were honored at the event.

Zhejiang led the nation in the number of companies listed on several prestigious rankings by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Jiaxing's enterprises performed well, with seven companies included in the "2024 Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprises", eight in the "2024 Top 500 Chinese Private Manufacturing Enterprises", and one in the "Top 100 Chinese Private Service Enterprises".

The convention also recognized 30 leading enterprises in high-quality development, focusing on technological innovation, digital transformation, and green initiatives. TDG Holding Co Ltd, and Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co Ltd, from Jiaxing, were among those honored.

Despite global economic challenges, Jiaxing's private enterprises demonstrated resilience and vitality. Agreements were signed on three major projects, including a super-pure alloy digital production line, amounting to over 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) in investments.
