The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recognized Jiaxing's reform efforts by including it in the "National Urban Manufacturing High-quality Development Practice Cases and Feature Cases List".

The city boasted 5,784 industrial private enterprises above a designated size in 2024, with six companies making the prestigious 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises list, and eight industrial enterprises securing spots among the top 100 private enterprises in Zhejiang province.

Jiaxing is driving the city's industrial evolution with a strategic emphasis on advancing the industrial sector by transforming traditional industries, nurturing burgeoning sectors, and laying the groundwork for future industries.

The fruits of this strategy are evident in this year's accomplishments. From January to October, Jiaxing's 17 major traditional manufacturing sectors experienced a notable 13.9 percent surge in industrial added value above a designated size, clinching the top spot in the province. At the same time, the city's strategic emerging industries thrived, contributing 44.6 percent to the added value of industries above a designated size. Moreover, Jiaxing has demonstrated foresight by laying the groundwork for upcoming industries such as renewable energy and life sciences.
