The production lines are running at full capacity in the Zhenshi New Materials Industrial Park, Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, with over 100 trucks rolling out daily to meet soaring demand, Tide News reported on Feb 11.

"The wind power materials market is exceptionally strong this year," said Pan Chunhong, vice-president of Zhejiang Zhenshi New Materials Co. "What was once a slow season has turned into a rush, and we expect double-digit growth in wind blade fabric production."

Fiberglass is a cornerstone of the park's operations, with the wind energy sector leading its consumption. Currently, one in three wind turbine blades worldwide is made using materials from Zhenshi.

Beyond wind energy, the park is expanding its reach into electric vehicles. In another production hall, fiberglass fabric is used for EV battery enclosures, underbody shields, and side panels.

Zhenshi's composite underbody panels, which offer over three times the impact resistance of traditional steel, now account for more than 50 percent of the domestic market, said Liu Jinhua, head of R&D at Zhenshi Holding Group.

Now supplying materials for nearly a million EVs, Zhenshi is positioning itself at the forefront of new energy solutions, said Liu.
