Jiaxing voice captivates audience at Asian Winter Games
Ni Mengxian, from Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, served as the Chinese announcer on Feb 11 at the ice hockey event of the 9th Asian Winter Games, held in Harbin from Feb 7 to 14.

Off the ice, Ni is a Chinese teacher at the primary school of Jiaxing's Tsinghua Affiliated Middle School. Her school, the only one in Jiaxing with a standard ice rink, recently hosted the 2024 China Figure Skating Club League and the 2024 Zhejiang Youth Ice Hockey Championship.
Through her volunteer work at these events, Ni has a strong bond with the sport of ice hockey, which ultimately led her to this international stage.
