The RX1E-A — a domestically developed electric light sport aircraft — was officially delivered in Pinghu county-level city, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, on March 31.

Produced by Ryen Aircraft Industry (Zhejiang) Co, the RX1E-A is the first two-seat electric light sport aircraft in China to receive both the type certificate and production certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

This milestone shifts China's new-energy aircraft sector from test flights to market-ready deployment, according to industry insiders.

The RX1E-A is powered by fully localized core components, offering 280 kilometers of range, a flight time of 2.5 hours on a full charge, and battery swaps in under 5 minutes. It produces no emissions, runs quietly, and has low operating costs, making it ideal for pilot training and recreational aviation.

The delivery highlights the success of Pinghu's growing aerospace sector, especially in the low-altitude economy.

With more aviation firms joining its ecosystem, the city is building a full industry chain — from R&D to manufacturing to operations — under the banner of "Pinghu Intelligent Manufacturing".
