Over 30 visitors from more than 20 countries and regions explored the Dayun Tourist Resort in Jiashan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 17, discovering its ancient towns, local flavors, traditional handicrafts, and other forms of intangible cultural heritage.

During the visit, they donned traditional hanfu apparel to try out archery and cuju — an ancient Chinese football game — among other activities.

The group also experienced activities like face painting and incense making, part of China's intangible cultural heritage. The incense-making activity allowed them to appreciate the unique charms of traditional Chinese incense culture.

As night fell, a grand Chinese-style banquet commenced, with visitors enjoying traditional opera performances spanning centuries — experiencing the etiquette, attire, and cultural customs of the Wu and Yue cultures.

They also savored local delicacies such as Dingsheng cake, rich in Jiaxing's distinctive flavors — providing an experience of Jiaxing's historical memories.

The event has deepened their understanding of Jiaxing's tourism resources and traditional folk culture. It also helped to enhance cultural exchanges and friendships between China and other countries, enriching the travel experiences of international visitors in China.
