The 7th Révélations International Biennial of Crafts and Creation opened at the Grand Palais in Paris on May 21. The international event is a major platform for economic and cultural exchange in the crafts sector.

Among the highlights was a special moment when Qian Lihuai, a renowned bamboo weaving artisan from Wuzhen town, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, presented French President Emmanuel Macron with a handcrafted bamboo art piece.

Qian, a representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Wuzhen bamboo weaving, also showcased his latest work titled Jiang Shan at the exhibition. With this piece, Qian has explored the boundless creativity of nature through the art of bamboo weaving, using materials sourced from different parts and ages of bamboo to symbolize nature's unique language.

This isn't Qian's first step onto the international stage. He has previously collaborated with global brands such as Burberry, Bulgari, and Louis Vuitton, showcasing his work in major art projects and exhibitions worldwide.

Running from May 21 to 25, the event featured over 500 selected artists, artisans, and brands from more than 30 countries and regions, drawing collectors, designers, museum curators, and craft enthusiasts from over 70 countries and regions.
