The Jiaxing Marathon was ranked 38th globally in World Athletics' marathon rankings for the first half of 2025. This ranking underscores the growing presence of Chinese events in elite international competitions.

Notably, the Xiamen Marathon earned 9,715 points, securing the eighth spot among 102 certified full marathons globally. This achievement marks Xiamen's highest ranking in the history of the system and the best performance by any Chinese marathon so far this year.

Other Chinese races, including the Wuxi, Wuhan, and Chongqing marathons, also made the list.

This year, the Jiaxing Marathon also served as the Asian Marathon Championships, the highest-level marathon event in Asia, attracting 53 athletes from 18 member associations of the Asian Athletics Association.

The rankings provide a snapshot of the top competitive marathons held globally during the first half of the year, focusing primarily on elite competition metrics.
