Jiaxing-based company builds iconic theme park landmarks
Dasheng, a manufacturer based in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, has become the creator of some of the world's most recognizable theme park landmarks.
These wonders include the revolving globe at Universal Beijing Resort and wonderful installations at Shanghai Disney Resort.
The 9-meter-diameter globe at Universal Beijing Resort is the largest among all the Universal parks worldwide. The project took 15 months from design to completion and involved fitting over 1,000 customized metal panels designed to withstand strong winds while maintaining smooth rotation.
Engineers used aerospace-grade steel and conducted more than 1,000 hours of durability tests to meet the client's exacting standards.
Founded in 1994 in Qingpu district of Shanghai, the firm relocated to the Haiyan Economic Development Zone in May 2024.
Its portfolio includes McDonald's self-service kiosks, themed floats for the Legoland Shanghai Resort and signage at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. With clients ranging from Tesla to Uniqlo, the company supplies over 200 global brands in more than 60 countries.
In the first half of 2025, Dasheng's orders totaled 60 million yuan ($8.35 million), with annual sales expected to exceed 170 million yuan, according to Zhou Fusheng, the company's chairman.
