The 2025 Yangtze River Delta (Jiaxing) Middle East Cooperation Conference & Cross-Border Procurement Matching was held in Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 12, drawing 47 well-known buyers from emerging markets. On-site negotiations resulted in letters of intent worth over $13 million.

The event featured one-on-one supply-demand matchmaking between Middle East purchasers and Jiaxing enterprises. Five export cooperation projects were signed, with contracts worth $105 million, covering photovoltaic equipment, textiles, machinery, and organic agriculture.

The event also saw the launch of the Jiaxing Enterprises New Silk Road (Middle East) Service Alliance, bringing together government departments, business associations, universities, overseas institutions, and leading exporters. The alliance will provide consulting, market expansion, compliance, and dispute resolution services to strengthen overseas operations.

Haining unveiled its first cross-border trade service hub, combining product display, trade talks, logistics, and export agency functions, while linking with sweater and down industry belts to build a collective export brand.

International service providers, including DP World, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, and Emirates, presented resources to support Jiaxing companies. In 2024, the city's exports to the Middle East reached 26.02 billion yuan ($3.65 billion), up 16 percent year-on-year, ranking first among major destinations.
