A delegation representing 12 textile firms from Wangjiangjing town, a hub of the textile industry in Xiuzhou district, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, recently traveled to Russia to expand their market reach and explore cooperation opportunities.

The group's first stop was St Petersburg, where they held talks with the Russia-China Commercial Center on new models of fabric trade and investment opportunities.

In Moscow, the firms surveyed the Lyublino and Sadovod wholesale markets, both key distribution centers for Russia's apparel sector, which remains heavily reliant on imports. The Sadovod market operator expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Wangjiangjing enterprises to boost sales of Chinese fabrics.

The delegation also exhibited at the Textillegprom 2025 (Moscow), showcasing fabrics and garments to broaden partnerships. In addition, the group co-hosted a resource matchmaking event with CDEK, Russia's leading logistics company under Sistema. More than 30 enterprises from Jiaxing's five major textile clusters, covering wool sweaters, fabrics, leather, down jackets, and hosiery, drew over 700 international participants.

The delegation also visited Vologda to view local factories and equipment, paving the way for future cooperation.
