Marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy and the 50th anniversary of China-EU ties, enterprises from Haining Leather City in Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, embarked on a European tour to strengthen ties with the global fashion industry.

From Milan to Paris, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions and signed multiple cooperation agreements covering design, exhibitions, marketing, and talent development, aiming to expand Haining's international presence and influence in the global fashion landscape.

The 2025 Italy-China Fashion Summit was held in Milan on Sept 27. Huang Zheng, chairman of Haining Leather City, said during the summit that the city is developing an open ecosystem connecting Chinese and global fashion industries through mutual empowerment.

During the trip, Haining Leather City signed agreements with associations and enterprises from Europe. These collaborations will focus on two-way exchanges in exhibitions, design, and market access, supporting continued internationalization.

Looking ahead, Haining Leather City will regularly participate in major European fashion fairs and invite European designers, brands, and institutions to join fashion weeks and trade shows in Haining, fostering closer collaboration within the global fashion industry.
