The world's first single-channel cycling gravity energy storage system has been connected to the grid in Nanhu district, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, marking a major technological breakthrough and a new stage of commercialization for China's gravity energy storage industry.

Developed independently by Gravitas Energy, the system is currently the only gravity energy storage solution worldwide capable of achieving vertical, single-channel, continuous cycling. It overcomes the long-standing Penrose triangle of maintaining stable power output, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.

The system delivers continuous, stable power output, significantly increases overall efficiency, and reduces construction costs. As China's first pilot line for single-channel cycling gravity storage, the system features strong adaptability and can be deployed across diverse scenarios, including flat land, mountains, and mining areas.
