The 2020 Guyan Huaxiang Art Festival will run from Aug 28 to 30 in the Guyan Huaxiang Scenic Area in Lishui, in East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported.

The annual festival will open with a grand ceremony from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Aug 28, which will include singing, dancing and an instrumental performance.

The organizers said the Guyan Huaxiang music festival – an indispensable part of the art festival – will feature more famous singers and bands this year.

The music shows start at 4:00 pm and last until 9:45 pm on Aug 29 and 30.

Officials said that Guyan Huaxiang, as a cradle of the Lishui Barbizon School – a local school of painting based on the Barbizon school in France – inspires many painters and is a typical example of driving local development through culture.

To maintain this tradition, various art exhibitions will be held throughout the festival.

There will also be 200 landscape oil paintings on display by 19th century masters from France, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands – in their first collective debut in China.

Other exciting activities include Chinese traditional style shows, water sports performances, bazaars and more.

Location: Guyan Huaxiang Scenic Area is situated in Bihu town and Dagangtou town in Liandu district, 20 kilometers from downtown Lishui.
