The Third Affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University was inaugurated in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 18, local media reported.

The affiliated hospital is a result of cooperation between Zhejiang Rongjun Hospital and Jiaxing University and will be based on Rongjun Hospital.

Zhejiang Rongjun Hospital is the only general hospital for veterans in the province under the administration of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs.

The hospital carries out medical care, education, scientific research, and rehabilitation and is mainly responsible for the medical treatment and health care of more than 1.7 million veterans in the province.

Serving as the affiliated hospital of Jiaxing University, Rongjun Hospital will promote medical resource sharing between medical workers and teachers while leveraging its status as a veteran hospital.

The hospital will also improve its clinical education, talent cultivation, scientific research, and academic quality to offer higher quality and more efficient medical services to the public and veterans.
