The Jiaxing Local CPC History Exhibition Hall in Xincheng town, Xiuzhou district reopened on May 7, the day marking the city's liberation 72 years ago, local media reported.

The exhibition hall consists of four areas displaying the development of the Communist Party of China in Jiaxing since the Revolution of 1911 and the achievements made by the city under CPC's leadership via physical objects and multimedia technology.

Xiuzhou was home to the first local Party group and the first county Party committee with a complete organizational structure in China, and Xincheng is the first place in the city to be liberated by the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In 2001, Xiuzhou established the Jiaxing Local CPC History Exhibition Hall, and in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, it decided to spend three years renovating the hall.

Over the past three years, Xiuzhou district has collected more than 3,700 photos and 48 videos, which are now on display at the exhibition hall.
