Five communities in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province have recently been shortlisted for Future Community construction in the province, local media reported on May 28.

The concept of future communities, with their focus on harmony, green development, intelligence, and sharing, are designed to improve the quality of life of residents.

Xiuzhou Yunhe Community, or Great Canal Community is an integration and improvement project, which will use digital means to integrate resources, establish sharing spaces, and showcase Great Canal culture so that it spreads to future generations.

Jiashan Hechi Community is new establishment project, which will give a new apperance to Xitang ancient town, as well as integrate technological innovation with culture and tourism, while also incorporating a smart underground transportation system.

Pinghu Anqiao Community is a project that will renovate an ancient street, while building a neighborhood center, as well as other high-quality supporting public infrastructure and services for local residents.

Haiyan Nanmen Community will serve as a demonstration project of the cooperation between central government-owned companies and local governments, with the heating supply for the community expected to be fueled by nuclear energy.

Haining Shuangyangli Community will focus on the construction of a neighborhood center, a vegetable farm, as well as the renovation of existing complexes, creating a community focusing on urban organic renewal to promote regional rejuvenation.
