Jiaxing leads Zhejiang in rural income for 18 consecutive years

Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province was ranked first in rural income in the province for 18 consecutive years in 2021, local media reported on Jan 19.

The per capita disposable income of rural residents in the city stood at 43,598 yuan ($6,870) last year, a year-on-year increase of 9.5 percent.

The figure included 28,112 yuan in wages, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent, 9,583 yuan in net operating income, a year-on-year increase of 5.1 percent, 1,824 yuan in net property income, a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent, and 4,079 yuan in net transfer income, a year-on-year increase of 14.4 percent.

During the same period, the ratio of urban to rural residents in Jiaxing was 1.6, the smallest urban-rural gap in Zhejiang.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents in Jiaxing totaled 69,839 yuan in 2021, an 8.9 percent year-on-year increase.

The figure included 43,789 yuan in wages, a year-on-year increase of 9.3 percent, 7,050 yuan in net operating income, a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent, 6,680 yuan in net property income, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent, and 12,320 yuan in net transfer income, a year-on-year increase of 10.1 percent.
