China's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) mutual recognition arrangement with Brazil Customs took effect on Jan 1.

This is China's second AEO mutual recognition arrangement in South America following the one with Chile.

The implementation of the AEO mutual recognition arrangement offers greater convenience for customs clearance to enterprises from both sides.

According to Jiaxing Customs statistics, the city's imports and exports to Brazil in 2021 totaled 6.33 billion yuan ($944.37 million), of which the export value amounted to 4.57 billion yuan.

The export value of Jiaxing Minhui Automotive Parts Co Ltd in Jiaxing, Zhejiang has exceeded 3.23 million yuan this year to date. After the implementation of the mutual recognition arrangement, document reviewing and import procedures have been made easier and more convenient, said a Brazilian client of the company.

Jinko Solar Co Ltd, a leading enterprise of solar cell industry in Jiaxing, will leverage the mutual recognition arrangement between China and Brazil to further its presence in the Brazilian market, said Li Rui, the person in charge of the logistics department of the enterprise.
