Hangzhou white chrysanthemum is produced in Tongxiang, which is known as the "the hometown of Hangzhou white chrysanthemum in China". The flower is planted over an area of 47,000 mu (3,133.33 hectares).

Hangzhou white chrysanthemum is popular in Southeast Asian countries for its mellow and sweet taste. It helps to clear heat and improve eyesight.

To promote the sales of Hangzhou white chrysanthemum, Jiaxing Customs has offered business guidance for enterprises, including the promotion of preferential policies and export facilitation measures of agricultural products via online platforms.
