Wuzhen to reopen to public

Wuzhen, a national 5A scenic spot located in Tongxiang city, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, will reopen to the public on June 1, local media reported on May 30.

In celebration of Children's Day, Xizha scenic area and Wucun village in Wuzhen are offering free admission to children aged 14 and under from June 1 to 30.

In addition, residents of Jiaxing can enjoy a 50 percent discount on tickets to Xizha scenic area and Wucun village in Wuzhen from June 1 to 30.

Meanwhile, from June 1 to July 15, tourists who stay at the Tong'an Inn or Zhenshui Resort Hotel will receive free admission to Xizha scenic area.

To celebrate the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 3 this year, Wuzhen will hold a variety of activities, including sachet-making and rice dumpling-making competitions.

In line with epidemic prevention and control measures, Wuzhen will only open tourist sites at 50-percent capacity. All tourists are required to wear masks and present their health codes and travel history. Tourists outside Jiaxing are required to provide negative nucleic acid test results from within the past 48 hours.
