The flower industry in Chang'an town, Haining, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province has been thriving of late, according to local media reports.

The town's flower plantations have expanded to a total area of more than 6,230 mu (415.33 hectares).

Last year, the output value of the town's flower industry reached 760 million yuan ($113.29 million). A total of 585 farmers in the town are involved in the industry.

In addition to the flower industry, Chang'an town and the high-tech zone will introduce high-end industrial projects related to electronic information, medicine and health, which is expected to bring in an extra 1 million yuan per year in each of the town's villages.

As many high-quality enterprises have been attracted to Chang'an town in recent years, villages there currently have an average annual income of 53.82 million yuan and an operating income of 39.6 million yuan.
