Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province ranked 38th on the 2022 list of the China's top 100 cities for digital economy development recently released by the China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute.

The list aimed to examine the development of the digital economy in four municipalities directly under the central government and administrative regions at the prefecture level in China.

The ranking was based on digital infrastructure, the digital economy industry, digital governance and data value.

Jiaxing's ranking was one place higher than in 2021.
