Pinghu city's characteristic industries, namely the digital, advanced equipment manufacturing, new material, fashion and future industries, are showing strong development momentum.

In the first 10 months of this year, Pinghu's characteristic industries reached an added value of 20.88 billion yuan ($2.99 billion), an increase of 9.7 percent year-on-year.

The added value of the city's characteristic industries accounted for more than 70 percent of that of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size.

In addition, the city has been pushing forward with the introduction of new projects. The city recently held an intelligent manufacturing industry promotion conference in Shanghai, showcasing the city's outstanding advantages in the advanced equipment manufacturing industry.

During the conference, eight projects were signed, attracting a total investment of 3.66 billion yuan, injecting new strength into the development of the city's advanced equipment manufacturing industry.
