Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province released its first living guide for expats during a forum for foreigners residing in Jiaxing, local media reported on Dec 8.

The guide is in both Chinese and English and written by the Jiaxing municipal foreign affairs office and the Jiaxing municipal association for friendship with foreign countries.

The guide includes an overview of the city, service instructions for visa processing, residence permits and work permits, living information related to food, accommodation, transportation, traveling, shopping, entertainment, health, schooling, medicine, and policies related to tax services, legal services, housing, public services, insurance and finance.

The guide is committed to providing convenience for foreigners in work, life, and entrepreneurship. At the same time, the city hopes to further optimize its business environment and become more international by taking in more and more foreigners.
