The 10th China Jiaxing International Cartoon Biennale was unveiled on Dec 15 at the Jiaxing Culture and Art Center in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province.

This year's exhibition is titled "Life and Future" and aims to arouse people's awareness of life, human existence and future development.

The exhibition received 2,990 works from comic artists from 44 countries and regions, including 2,334 domestic works and 656 foreign works. A total of 157 works were selected to be displayed at the exhibition.

Since its first event in 2003, the China Jiaxing International Cartoon Biennale has been participated in by nearly 10,000 artists from more than 50 countries, providing a platform for creativity and communication.

Jiaxing is one of the birthplaces of Chinese comics. The city has nurtured a group of famous comic artists such as Ding Song, Wang Dunqing, Shen Zhenhuang, Shen Bochen, Feng Zikai, Zhang Leping, Migu and Huang Yao, contributing to the brilliant achievements of China's century-old comic history.
