10th Xitang Hanfu Culture Week unveiled

The 10th Chinese Ethnic Peoples Clothes Show and Xitang Hanfu Culture Week kicked off in Xitang town, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Dec 31, 2022, attracting hanfu lovers from all over the country.

During the four-day event, a total of 38 activities were held. The event also included the standard release of the Hanfu Dress Guide, script entertainment competitions and small theater performances.

At the opening ceremony of the event, a costume parade showcasing the characteristics and evolutionary trends of Han clothing in different periods and at different occasions was held.

During the event, Xitang Ancient Town Scenic Area announced it will build a new Hanfu Industrial Park with a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($435 million), which will integrate hanfu design and development, exhibition venues and livestreams. The first phase of the Hanfu Industrial Park is expected to be put into use in the second half of 2024.

Since the first China Xitang Hanfu Culture Week was held in 2013, it has developed into one of the largest ritual and music activities in China.

The Xitang Han Costume Culture Week has attracted millions of hanfu lovers and traditional culture enthusiasts, helping bring the revenue of related industries to over 300 million yuan.
