The Games provided a stage for athletes to exhibit their unwavering courage and skill, and they consistently dazzled the city with remarkable achievements over the past two weeks.

Zhu Jin'er emerged as a star back in the beginning, claiming the gold in the international chess women's individual event on Sept 27, marking Jiaxing's first gold in the Games. Later that day, Wang Fan clinched a bronze medal in women's beach volleyball, further adding to the city's glory.

The Games became the central focus for the public during the national holiday. Athletes from Jiaxing competed in various events, inking noteworthy performances each day.

On Oct 1, the Chinese national team dominated the esports event of the Peace Elite Asian Games Version, securing the gold medal by an overwhelming lead. Zhang Jianhui, a native of Jiaxing, contributed to the success as a pivotal team member.

Pei Xinyi's mighty strength earned her a silver medal in the 64kg weightlifting event with a total score of 234 kg. Despite facing strong competition, Pei stood out as the youngest member of the national women's team in weightlifting highlighting her immense potential.

In kayaking, Li Dongyin achieved fame with two gold medals in the women's 500m single kayak and women's 500m four-person kayak events. The story of Li Dongyin and her husband Wang Congkang, both members of the national team, has garnered media attention.

"I believe this outcome is perfect and it lays a strong foundation for us to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games together, aiming for a new breakthrough," Li said as a smile brightened her face.
