At the 2024 National Indoor Track and Field Championships in Tianjin on March 29, Jiaxing's Xu Huiqin clinched victory in the women's pole vault final, clearing 4.4 meters.

This event, recognized as a National Level I competition by the Chinese Athletics Association, selects top talent to participate based on recent performances.

Hailing from Chaotong village in Haiyan county, Xu began pole vaulting at age 13 and joined the national team at 22, continually surpassing her own records along the way. Her accolades include national and international titles, notably representing China at the Tokyo Olympics.

Today's win marks the completion of Xu's comeback after missing the Hangzhou Asian Games due to injury last year. "I'm pleased with my performance today," she shared, emphasizing her joy in competing.
