Zhejiang Texwell Textile Co Ltd from Haining, a county-level city of Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, is set to dress Olympians for Paris 2024 with their advanced textiles.

Early in 2023, the company began developing fabrics for the games in partnership with renowned sports brands. The company’s highly-experienced R&D team, equipped with cutting-edge technology, produced six to seven functional fabric types, which were in mass production by September 2023.

Texwell specializes in moisture-wicking and quick-drying materials, with over 40,000 meters provided for the host nation's athletes alone.

Its fabrics will also be showcased in the windproof and warm jackets provided for volunteers at the Paris Olympics. Additionally, the long-sleeved T-shirts worn by Chinese athletes and Olympic committee officials, as well as the sportswear for the Chinese swimming team, are made from the company’s materials. The long-sleeved T-shirts feature a woven pattern with elements of the Chinese dragon on the shoulders.

As a leader in knitted and functional fabrics, Texwell has been a supplier for major sports brands and events since 2008, including the Beijing Olympics and Hangzhou Asian Games. For Paris 2024, the company crafted eco-friendly fabrics from 100 percent recyclable materials, such as yarns made from recycled soda bottles, ensuring comfort and sustainability.

Hu Xiaochun, head of domestic sales at the company, expressed joy in contributing to the Olympics with these innovative fabrics, all of which were delivered before March this year.
