Jingning She autonomous county in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province has been awarded the title of provincial garden city, according to a list released recently by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

This recognizes that all of the nine counties (county-level cities, districts) in Lishui have fully completed construction of a provincial garden city.

Lishui has given full play to its ecological advantages, strongly promoting green development, construction of an ecological culture and a provincial and national garden city in recent years.

According to relevant data in the statistical yearbook of urban construction in Zhejiang province in 2019, the afforestation coverage of the built-up area of Lishui is 4,556 hectares and the greenbelt area is 3,977 ha, covering 41.22 percent and 35.99 percent of the built-up area.
