Lishui holds forum on promoting green development
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the concept "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". Lishui in East China's Zhejiang province carried out a forum on the concept at Lishui University on April 26.
Focusing on the major theoretical and practical issues of green development, guests participated in special seminars in which they studied and summarized practical paths of implementation of the concept to promote high-quality green development in an all-round way.
Lishui is in a way the home of the concept. And Liangshan College of Lishui University is China's first school characterized by it. The college is committed to the theoretical research, practice, and talent training that will bring the concept fully to life.
"The essence of the concept is to achieve high-quality green development," said Liu Keqin, executive director of Liangshan College. To achieve this goal, GEP (gross ecosystem product) and GDP (gross domestic product) should develop coordinately, according to Liu.
During the forum, the "Lishui GEP accounting report" was released, and the "ecological product value accounting guide" was published.
