The first Alibaba Customer Service County project in East China's Zhejiang province will soon start operating in Jinyun county, administered by the prefecture-level city of Lishui, located in the southwest of the region.

With its dynamic commercial environment that was bolsted by the digital economy, Jinyun's online retail sales surged to 16.4 billion yuan ($25.74 billion) in 2021, for year-on-year growth of 26.6 percent.

As one of the core platforms of Lishui's cross-border e-commerce industry, Jinyun cross-border e-commerce park – opened four years ago – is understood to provide the full gamut of services.

These include big data customs clearances, foreign trade, cross-border intelligent logistics and e-commerce incubations – forming a complete service supply chain for cross-border e-commerce.

Furthermore, Jinyun is making full use of the resources of Alibaba, Amazon and other cross-border e-commerce giants to continuously cultivate talent.

The county held a raft of training sessions in 2021, involving 1,500 participants.

According to officials, the county's cross-border e-commerce business generated import and export volume worth 370 million yuan last year, accounting for 71.4 percent of Lishui's total.
