A specialized stone carving e-commerce livestreaming center recently opened in Shankou town, Qingtian county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – with the first batch of 21 e-commerce enterprises settling in.

Located in the town's stone culture industrial park, the center has 56 livestreaming rooms, including some sharing with villagers at no cost.

Qingtian county is famous for its stone carving industry. In Shankou where stone carving is the pillar industry, there are more than 1,000 workshops and over 80 percent of the villagers there are engaged in the craft.

But due to a lack of public service platforms, the commercialization of Qingtian's stone carving encountered some bottlenecks.

In response, the town came up with a sales model that integrates stone carving with livestreaming and stone culture, injecting new vitality into a traditional industry.

With the launch of the livestreaming base, projections are that the annual collective income of the village will increase by more than 300,000 yuan ($44,974).
