The Liandu district of Lishui city – located in East China's Zhejiang province – on Sept 17 signed up 20 major projects involving investment of 47 billion yuan ($6.48 billion).

Among the projects were eight eco-friendly industrial projects and four financial projects, expected to give a fresh boost to its high-quality development.

With a total investment of 10 billion yuan, the Liandu district plans to relocate 50,000 people from 2022 to 2026, involving 12 major towns and streets in the area. This is in response to Lishui's overall planning of urban and rural development.

In addition, the Lishui Lingyuan Rural Revitalization Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park project was signed up. It will cost 1.5 billion yuan and cover an area of 700 mu (46.67 hectares).

Plans are for a digital agricultural production plant, a test base and an agricultural science education reception center to be built in the district.

During the signing ceremony, the Lishui Semiconductor Industry Investment Fund Project was launched, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. As a result, a raft of semiconductor enterprises are expected to settle in the district and promote its industrial agglomeration.

These high-quality projects are projected to speed up the construction of the district and inject new momentum into its economic and social development.
