Zhong Huayan is the director of the moral education department at No 3 Middle School in Yunhe county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – and is also a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, or CPC.

After graduating from Taizhou College of Physical Education in 2008, Zhong gave up her high-paying job in the big city to return to her hometown of Yunhe, becoming a PE teacher at the No 3 Middle School.

Most of the students are children of migrant workers who rarely get the chance to know what they want from life. To develop their interests, Zhong harnessed her strengths as a PE teacher and set up an aerobics team.

For more than a decade, she has always been dedicated to her work, using the aerobics skills and disciplines she learned to help fulfill the dreams of her students.

It has been Zhong's dream to have more children go outside from the rural mountains and live out colorful lives.
