The 2022 FIAP World Photographers Conference will be held in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 17-21, according to the conference organizing committee.

In 2021, the municipal government of Lishui and the International Federation of Photographic Art, or FIAP, signed a cooperation agreement, agreeing for the city to host the FIAP World Photographers Conference every two years, beginning in 2022.

Under the theme of World Image, Lishui Coordinates, the 2022 conference will highlight the  "specialization, industrialization and internationalization" of photography.

It will also focus on creating a professional platform consisting of frontier technology, internationally renowned artists' works, qualified elements of photography and a sharing mechanism for Chinese and foreign youth to exchange ideas.

After more than two decades of development, Lishui's photography industry is widely said to have gained a leading position in China and an international reputation.

Guided by the concept of cross-border integration and full-chain development, through the conference Lishui aims to develop international photography art exchanges, create international eco-friendly photography and increase innovation and development in the photography industry, among other things.
