Photographers from Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province, have shot countless rounds of photos that have collectively captured the great changes of the city during the past decade.

Jiang Xiaodong, a senior photographer from Songyang county in the city, has saved over 800,000 photos onto his computer, most of which are about ancient villages, folk customs and other cherished subjects in Songyang.

"My hometown Songyang is the best inspiration for me and great changes have taken place there," he said.

In the past, he had to carry his camera bag and travel over mountains and rivers, but now these areas can be reached by car. Clean public toilets, cafes and bookstores are now available in the villages that are benefitting from the growing popularity of rural tourism.

Deeply impressed by the changes, he decided to continue to record his hometown Songyang through the camera lens.
