As the prevention and control against COVID-19 enters a new phase, demand for epidemic prevention materials and medical services is increasing.

Recently, many warm and compassionate stories about mutual support have emerged in Lishui city, located in East China's Zhejiang province.

Chen Xianghua – who has operated a pharmacy called Tong Entang on Dazhong Road, in the Liandu district for 20 years – split up 200 boxes of fever-reducing medicine to hand out  free.

She stuck the medicine onto the entrance to her pharmacy, with notes labeled with instructions.

Xu Jianyou, a doctor in the Lishui Hospital of TCM, decided to help his fellow-villagers in Dinggong village, especially the elderly.

He bought over 300 yuan ($43) of fever-reducing medicine, so villagers wouldn't have to go to the city to get it. As a doctor, Xu often passes on epidemic prevention knowledge to locals and helps calm them down in a WeChat group.

Another moving story concerns a physician called Li Sipeng. "I really don't know what I would have done without doctor Li Sipeng", said Ji, a mother of two children.

One midnight, the children – one, 3 years old, the other seven months old – had a high fever. Ji tried to contact the physician, who she had seen before. Doctor Li replied at once, giving specific instructions, including how to use the medicine and the amount of medicine to take. After a face-to face diagnosis later that day, doctor Li continued to check the condition of the children's health.
