The city of Lishui, in East China's Zhejiang province, has been recognized as one of the top 100 most attractive cities for talent in 2022, according to a report released on Oct 14.

The report, jointly issued by Zhaopin.com and Zeping Macro – a leading online recruitment platform and a macroeconomic research institute in the country – ranked Lishui 59th among the 100 cities based on big data analysis of talent recruitment and mobility.

The top five cities on the list were Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou – while Lishui surpassed some medium and large cities such as Nanning, Haikou and Sanya.

Lishui has been striving to build itself into a youth development city in recent years, achieving great results in attracting talent and fostering a youth-friendly environment.

To further boost its recruiting competitiveness, Lishui has improved its talent policies and compiled a roster of important talent technology platforms in the city and clarified their growth paths.

It also released a catalog of key industry shortage talent demand, indexing talent according to industry and enterprise needs.

In terms of talent services, Lishui has started to implement what it calls the Ten Practical Things Mechanism for Talent Technology Services – focusing on practical things such as children's education and financial assistance.
