In Longquan, Lishui, Zhejiang province, a revolution is underway in the traditional celadon industry, as digital technology is being embraced to transform manufacturing processes.

At Zhejiang Dedao Celadon Cloud Intelligent Manufacturing Company, workers are utilizing 3D numerical control carving platforms to streamline production. From inputting the design drawing and adjusting the size, to composition through programs, yak models with different shapes are quickly produced in just half an hour.

"Under the traditional method, it takes at least 10 days for just proofing, which includes design, clay sculpturing, and grouting," said Lyu Yue, the company's chief artistic officer.

The production process has now been simplified to a few hours, not only shortening the production timeline, but also achieving process accuracy and replication efficiency that cannot be achieved by hand.

This shift towards intelligent manufacturing is not limited to a single company. Many local enterprises are also integrating digital technology into their processes.

For instance, the Jinhong Ciye Company has collaborated with Zhejiang University to develop the "high-strength antibacterial Longquan celadon technology", which enhances the strength and thermal stability of celadon, making the products more appealing in the market.

Longquan is famous for its celadon culture. Today, with the introduction of digital technology, Longquan's celadon industry is ushering in an unprecedented revolution towards intelligent manufacturing.
