The first batch of 20 unmanned cargo vehicles, independently developed and produced in Songyang county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, has rolled off the production line and begun outdoor testing. This marks the beginning of the standardized mass production of unmanned vehicles in Songyang.

At Neolix Unmanned Vehicle (Songyang) Company, workers are busy preparing orders for 650 units of the X3 model of the unmanned vehicle.

After the successful delivery of the first batch, mass production will begin, with a designed annual output of up to 10,000 units and an expected output value of around 100 million yuan ($13.80 million) this year.

The company's head, Zhao Yin, explained, "Our factory has eight assembly stations and 340 assembly steps. After assembly, the product must go through seven testing steps before moving off the line."

He said that the first batch of 20 vehicles is undergoing on-site testing, including 24 types of urban road condition tests. The vehicles must pass all the tests before being delivered to customers.

The unmanned vehicle, designed specifically for delivery services, was involved in COVID-19 prevention and control in Wuhan in Hubei province, Shanghai, and other places. It features high precision, low delay, low safety risks, and flexible battery replacement, improving the cities' logistical efficiency.
