In Qingtian county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, the first salami production line was recently put into operation, realizing the production of European food in Qingtian.

Salami is a salted and air-dried sausage that has been popular in Italy for millennia and is now enjoyed the world over.

The Ybili Food Company in Qingtian has cooperated with Spanish expert Magi Sala, who is now the company's technical director, to bring European expertise to local salami production. With 40 years of experience in the Spanish salami industry, Sala skillfully demonstrated the processes and guided the workers.

"This is my second visit to Qingtian's factory. Compared with last time, both the facilities and the workers' conditions have been greatly improved," said Sala. "Everyone is very serious about learning, and our cooperation is becoming closer and closer."

Qingtian's initiatives to attract overseas Chinese entrepreneurs contributed to the establishment of Ybili by Ji Jianxin, a Chinese expat in Spain. The company's investments in advanced equipment, purification workshops, and imported techniques have laid a strong foundation for its growing success.

The products are exported to other provinces and cities and have received positive feedback. The annual output value is expected to reach more than 20 million yuan ($2.77 million).

Looking ahead, the company will continue to expand its markets beyond Qingtian, targeting regions like the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta, aiming to promote salami nationwide, said Ji.
