More than 130 riders compete for the championship at the stage two of the Tour of Taihu Lake in Huzhou, Zhejiang province. [Photo provided to ezhejiang.gov.cn] 

The stage two of the Tour of Taihu Lake 2016, from Changxing County to Taihu Tourist Resort in Zhejiang province, was held on Nov 7. 

22 teams participated in the competition, among which the intercontinental professional teams increased from 2 to 5 teams in 2015. Furthermore, the event organized 17 riding teams to satisfy the enthusiasm and demand of rider participation. 

Defending champion and seven times stage winner in 2015 Jakub Mareczko from Italy won the stage two. 

Initiated in 2010, the event has become an important competition with a promotional brand of scale and influence. Accordingly, the tour of Taihu Lake, at UCI2.1 level, set 8 sections and a total bonus of $300,000 USD. 

The next stage in Anji of Zhejiang province is going to witness a feverous sprint before the hilly finish.
