An increasing number of books on thoughts and the achievements of Chinese government, the Communist Party of China and Chinese army have been translated into English and launched in other countries by a culture company based in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province.
Jiaxing Qiushiyuan Culture Communication Co Ltd, included in Zhejiang's list of key export enterprises, is one of the few Chinese culture companies that specialize in publishing Chinese literature abroad.
The company launched Chinese and English versions of Xi Jinping Thought in UK in March. The book, written by Liu Mingfu from the National Defence University of People's Liberation Army, captures the challenges and opportunities in China. It articulates President Xi Jinping's thoughts on the nation's rejuvenation and illuminates the president's personal charisma.
The book's publication aroused interests from government officials, academic circles and research institutes in other countries.
Huang Yongjun, chairman of the company, said they've launched a series of books in English, including the China Model, and How CPC Regenerated China. In 2016, the export volume of its mainstream books reached $383,600, a year-on-year increase of 72.1 percent.
