Big culture expo to open in Hangzhou
One of China's biggest cultural and creative industry events—the 2017 Hangzhou Cultural & Creative Industry Expo—is set to take place in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, on Sept 21-25.
The event is one of only four national-level events for the creative and cultural industry in China, and is a golden opportunity for local creatives to find new customers and partners.
The eleventh edition of the annual expo will focus on international exchanges and the integration of smart technology into people's daily lives.
With a total display area of 120,000 square meters, there will be pavilions for different fields including creativity, intangible culture and international communication.
Along with the product exhibition, more than 20 business activities like matchmaking conferences and forums are going to be staged during the five-day event.
Central and Eastern European countries are set to take center stage at the expo, with displays showcasing cultural and creative products from the region, a review of cultural exchanges and trade between China and CEE countries, as well as local handicrafts and artworks.
Another highlight will be the gathering of three national museums – the Palace Museum, National Museum of China and Prince Kung's Palace Museum. Traditional Chinese artworks from the three famous museums will be exhibited for the public.
Major technology companies such as NetEase and Google are also set to display their latest smart gadgets at the expo, and creative design companies like Beijing-headquartered LKK will show off their latest achievements in artificial intelligence.
The expo itself has strived to apply smart technologies at every stage of its organization. Smart services such as mobile payment are going to give participants more convenience and make the expo more efficient.
