Maple Leaf International School of Yiwu came into operation on Sept 1, 2015. Covering an area of more than 80 mu (5.33 hectares), the primary junior departments are in Taxiazhou community of Yiwu. Located in Futian community, its senior department and school for foreign children cover an area of 175 mu and can accommodate more than 3,600 teachers and students. The senior department offers Canadian courses, 80 percent of which are taught by Canadian teachers in English. With diversified evaluation methods, the school focuses on practical ability and features on English teaching to lay foundation for future applications for international first-class universities.
