Zhejiang University of Science and Technology
Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a multidisciplinary full-time regular university under the direct guidance of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, which focuses on engineering with additional disciplines in arts, management, science and economics. Founded in 1980, it was initially known as Hangzhou Industrial School Attached to Zhejiang University. Combining the successful experience of the German Universities of Applied Sciences (FH with Chinese Characteristics, ZUST seeks to cultivate high-quality internationalized talents with innovative spirits and applied skills.
ZUST has two campuses. Xiaoheshan Campus is situated in the historic and cultural city of Hangzhou and has a planned land area of 112.67 hectares and a built-up area of 450,000 square meters. Anji campus, in Anji county, won the United Nations Habitat Scroll of Honor Award. It covers 33.33 hectares with a built-up area of 165,000 square meters. The university has 11 schools, three teaching centers, three first-class disciplines with the right to confer master's degrees, two master's degree-conferring programs and 50 undergraduate majors with more than 15,600 full-time regular undergraduates and postgraduates and over 1,000 foreign students.
