Focusing on the idea of smart exhibitions, this year's CICAF was also notable for its introduction of e-tickets for the first time. The sales volume of e-tickets accounted for 80.43 percent of the total ticket sales, highlighting Hangzhou's ambition in building a city of mobile payment.
The CICAF is the only State-level and international cartoon and animation industrial festival, co-sponsored by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and Zhejiang provincial government. The annual event has been held in Hangzhou every spring since 2005.
