Lu Xun (1881-1936) and Mark Twain (1835-1910), two leading figures in the history of Chinese and American literature respectively, were commemorated at a photo exhibition in Los Angeles, the United States, from June 15 to 21.

A part of the annual cultural exchange event "Dialogue between Masters 2018", the exhibition showcased the life stories and great achievements of the two late literary masters as well as the history and cultural development of Shaoxing, the birthplace of Lu in East China's Zhejiang province.

Zhou Lingfei, the eldest grandson of Lu and the secretary-general of Lu Xun Culture Foundation, attended the opening ceremony and made speeches.

It is hoped that the event can serve as a bridge to promote Chinese traditional culture as represented by Lu, and encourage communication between China and other countries through art and literature.
